12.
Eddie George
When Eddie George was awarded the 1995 Heisman trophy, he
forever sealed his name into Ohio State football’s highest
ring of honor. Not bad for a guy that just three years before
appeared to have fumbled away his chance at stardom.
As a freshman, Eddie burst out of the gates
with a three-touchdown performance in just his third game
as a Buckeye. But when he fumbled twice inside the five
two weeks later, the young phenom was suddenly riding the
bench.
George considered leaving Columbus, but
instead of packing his bags, Eddie stayed put and poured
everything he had into fulfilling his dreams.
Two
seasons later, Eddie was back on the field. The season after
that, he made history.
