14. The Ten-Year War
Ohio State versus Michigan is the greatest rivalry in college football. But in the 100-plus years since the schools started playing, a certain 10-year stretch stands out above the rest.

What made it so special? For starters, the winner was named the Big Ten champ every year. But on top of that was the rivalry within the rivalry; or in other words, Woody vs. Bo.

In Schembechler’s first year at Michigan, 1969, Michigan pulled off one of the greatest upsets of all time defeating the number one Buckeyes 24-12, setting the stage for the next nine years.

Woody got his revenge the following year and over the course of the decade the annual battle between Woody and Bo became one of college football’s most anticipated events.
