Rex Kern
Quick as a cat and wily as a snake, Rex Kern was the ultimate
Buckeye field general.
A
three-sport star in high school, Kern took over the helm
of the offense as soon as he was eligible to play, and he
didn’t lose until his 19th game under center.
Under
Kern’s command the Buckeyes claimed three of their greatest
seasons ever, including 1968’s stunning national title.
With a 27 and 2 record, Kern stands as the Buckeyes’ most
winning quarterback ever, and one of the Ohio State’s most
popular stars.
