23.
Vic Janowicz
He could kick. He could pass; play defense and return punts.
And that’s when he wasn’t running the ball as a halfback.
Vic Janowicz could do it all. And he did it better than anyone.
Perhaps no game better demonstrated Vic’s
all-around talent than his one-man demolition of Iowa in
1950 when he passed for four touchdown that afternoon, scored
two more, kicked 10 extra points, while handling all the
kickoffs. And this was when he wasn’t playing defensive
safety.
Vic’s
herocis did not go unnoticed and when the season was over,
he was named Ohio State’s second Heisman trophy winner.
Those who witnessed Vic back in the day still marvel at
his amazing talent.
