36. Keith Byars vs. Illinois
After a disastrous first-quarter, the Buckeyes were buried in a 24-0 hole against Illinois. Tailback Keith Byars decided to take matters into his own hands and 274 yards and five touchdowns later, Byars had the Buckeyes back on top.

The final score was 45-38 Ohio State, and Byars rushing total set a then-Buckeye record. But on a day of record-breaking heroics, one special run brought the fans to their feet, and Byars out of his shoes.
