1967 Recruiting Class
Stocked with a slew of the nation’s most heralded high school
stars, Ohio State’s 1967 recruiting class came to Columbus
highly touted, with high expectations. Those high hopes came
just in time for an Ohio State program on the verge of melting
down.
After biding their time waiting to become eligible, the
now-dubbed Super Sophomores finally took the field. Behind
their power, the 1968 Buckeyes shocked the nation going
undefeated and claiming the school’s fourth national title.
By the
time their careers were complete, the class of ‘67 had posted
an overall record of 27-2 -- still the best three-year winning
percentage of any Buckeye class.
