44. Senior Tackle
To some it looks like just one more run into the blocking sled, but for the players it means the culmination of their careers is close at hand. And when you talk about Senior Tackle, Buckeye fans know your talking about tradition.

Coach John Wilce started the tradition in 1913, but since 1935, Senior Tackle has been synonymous with the season ending tussle with Michigan.

For Buckeye seniors, it’s one last ceremonial hit on the tackling dummy and a potent tradition that prepares them for their last game in Scarlet and Gray.
